The power tilt trim on my 2008 F150TLR started to bleed down slowly when I was running on plane and had my motor trimmed up for best performance about a month ago. Now it bleeds down quickly and also bleeds down when I am idling in shallow water and have it trimmed up to avoid hitting bottom. I would like an opinion if I need to remove the unit and have the cylinders rebuilt or is there something simple?

it appears there is a internal leak allowing the fluid to bypass, if it were mine i would flush out the fluid and add new, could be debris from the hydraulic pump,, tilt the unit all the way to the top, then open the manual valve and allow the weight of the motor to push the fluid through the system. if that doesnt take care of it, would need to be taken apart and inspected..
