  • Lower unit part question

On the lower unit assembly 6H3-45300-E4-4D; this lists parts 2-64. So this is a kit that has all the parts to replace everything in my lower unit using my lower casing, correct?

On part 6H1-45301-12-4D this is listed as lower casing. This would be just the casing and no guts, correct?

Next question is with my core, what would an assembled rebuilt lowe unit be on this 2000 C60tlry?

Trying to figure out my options if I get bad news on my "look at" quote from the mechanic.

You might find a good used lower unit for your motor for maybe $1000 or $1200, which could be cheaper than parts and labor to repair yours...depending on what's wrong with it.

DO NOT buy a lower seal kit.
unless you just like blowing cash, in that case PM me and ill give you my address.

the lower seal kit will come with WAY more stuff than needed to reseal your lower unit.

Thanks Rodbolt but it was more a question really on price. I started adding up stuff "around" the shift parts and it came out pretty close to just buying the whole rebuild kit. Of course I am in water right now that I have no idea what I am even close to looking at.

I have it with my trusted mechanic right now. I am sure that he will screw me, but am confident he will at least luber up first.

This lower unit issue is like researching a new mole you found on your arm. By the time you read all the internet stuff about this mole, you have convinced yourself you are dying.
