bolt clamp bracket

Hi : I need to replace the bushing and the bolt,clamp bracket that is corroded on a 85hp yamaha.I removed the nut on the rigth side of the bracket an cut a piece of pipe(1 1/4" ID) and put over the other end of the bolt clamp to use like a puller with the nut that I removed from the rigth side and have no succes.Does someone knows how to remove. Thanks

if your talking about the steering tube,yamaha calls it a bolt, then remove and suspend the engine,use oxygen/acetylyne and a very large hammer.
saltwater tends to tighten things up.
