power to switch bank

can I get power (from the red wire) from the dual fuse wire harness that goes between the multifunction speedometer and the key switch panel for a bank of switches that operate lights, bilge pump, live well pump, gps, ....? If not then I would need to run separate line to the battery. If this is the case then would i need separate ground also or can I come off of a ground with the gauges?
