Ive recently purchased a 2004 2300 Bay Bolt from Hydra Sports but unfortunately it had a 1996 250 TXRU 2 stroke which blew on my first run. So much for wonderful boat ownership. Now I cant find the correct head for this motor as it has a pinhole near the spark plug area. The Yamaha parts catalog call for a 62J head but the one I currently have on this is a 61A head. The difference is that the 61A is for curved pistons and the 62J is for flat pistons. HOW CAN I GET A 61A Head?
Also, Since this whole ordeal I have purchased an F250 2006 and repowered the boat, WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!! BUT now I am only reaching 5500 RPM with a top speed of 45. I've been told that this motor should be hitting a top RPM of 6100 with a speed of at least 50 MPH. What would be the correct prop for this set up?
