Came across a great deal on a new F225TLR sport model (20” shaft 3.3 ltr). I can pick one up for thousands less than the standard F225 25”. Once the SHO came out, demand for these dried up, so dealers with any inventory are discounting deeply.
My boat requires a 25” – Considering pulling the trigger and adding the Bay Mfg 5” extension kit.
Am I overlooking something here? Is there any reason this would be a bad idea on a 20” motor?
