  • warning alarm part 2

Thanks for the help on my previous post guys.It was the inline fuse holder causing my alarm to go off when i hit a wake. Now when I run the motor wide open for a short period of time(4500+rpms)the alarm sounds. The motor has new thermostats and impeller and is a 91 115 carberated converted to premix.

That is probably an overheat problem. Check the pressure control valve located on bottom of exhaust plate on back of engine with a large rubber hose connected to it. Corrosion builds up under rubber grommet and makes valve stick. If you see a lot of corossion there or in thermostat housing then it may need the heads removed and clean water passages around cylinder and heads, over time it will get a build up in passages and restrick water flow and it being 14 years old may be due for a cleaning.
