04 f60 bogging

I have a 04 f60 carbuerated 4 stroke. It cranks and idles fine but when you take off it is sluggish. When you get up to desired speed it occasionally will bog like it isnt getting the gas. However it doesnt allways do this. Could it possibly be filter issues or fuel pump or maybe sucking air? I have drained tank and changed gas.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did this problem appears suddenly - or did you just pull the engine/boat out of storage? If the latter, I'd quickly pull off the carbs and clean then thoroughly. Also, if from storage and they weren't properly winterized (i.e. gas stabilizer), this is even more recommended.

If you've been fine all along - and then it just started occurring, it's possible you have a failure situation (such as a fuel pump or a filter that has become clogged). The filter isn't too much money - and if it's been a while, it should be replaced anyway.

But, my money is still on the carbs not being squeaky clean.
