30 hp tiller STALLING!

I have 1989 30 hp Yamaha tiller outboard. Been sitting for over a month, and I took it out yesterday. started up fine and work great in gears. after about 15 minutes of riding, i came to a stop and it died. wouldnt start back up for a while, so i let it sit 5 minutes. i pulled and eventually it started up, but would die in neutral if i left it in neutral. now when i pull, it will start everytime but will die in neutral after about 10-15 seconds. i messed with the pilot screws today, but no luck. any advice? and how do i put the pilot screws to where they are supposed to be? i think they are way off now

Find a Yamaha service manual for your motor and then clean carbs properly and follow steps for link and sync of the carbs. It will have all the specs.

Or you can wait to see if someone with the manual will post what the spec is
