Took my new 9.9 out for the first time today to begin the break-in procedure. Ran it for 2 hours just as the break-in instructions in the manual called for. However, at the end of the 2 hour run I noticed the plastic 6 gallon fuel tank was sunk in on the top. I loosened the air vent and air rushed into the tank and the top of the tank returned to normal. Stupid me failed to open the vent screw before hitting the water. The motor performed perfectly with no indication that air was not getting into the tank. Have I damaged the motor in some way? Thanks
