Rodbolt - You were spot on - THANK YOU!!! That solved the problem.
Now - Is there a certain way to adjust the trim sender? Or, is it just trial & error until the right position is found? My sender seems very sensitive. Should it move the black bars throughout the full range of it's movement? Do these senders tend to wear or give false readings over time (as the rheostat wears)? I may need a new one. How would I be able to determine this?
I don't mind purchasing a new part if needed. Just glad I didn't purchase the adapter or a new harness as others had suggested.

adjust so no bars are visible at full trim down and all six at full trim,just before tilt.Comment
