over heat blinking

I have a 1999-2000 VX150 TLRY (6J9001059) yamaha. We installed new gauges and now the tach shows a blinking overheat single even though there are no problems. I used a Y harness at motor due to single plug in back of new gauge.
gauge kit 6YR-W0035-F2-00
Y harness 6Y5-85335-10-00

Is there a dip switch that may have been set wrong or some wiring that needs to be jumps or done differently?

tach comes set for two wire trim,four stroke and 12 pole.
you need to reset the dip switchs to 2 stroke,12 pole two wire.
