I have a 1987 90 etlh . The motor sounded like it blew up last sunday . I pulled the head and intake of to find that the bottom piston has hit the head . But the rod isnt broke still has good compression on the cylender. Looks like the back of the crank has scraped the block . Can the bearing on the bottom of the crank go bad enuf to do this .

not normmaly.
typically thats either a rod or wristpin failure.

Thanks. Might be time for a rebuilt powerhead i will check with them.
