2006 F50TLR with older digital tach, multi-function?

Did a search on Yamaha digital tach - multi function gauges but really couldn't find an answer. I have an older Yamaha 6Y5-8350T gauge but can not determine whether it is an E1 or E2 (It is not the E3.). The harness has a square 4 pin plug and my engine has a 4 pin receptacle. I am trying to determine whether this will work properly on my engine before connecting.

Will I be able to use all functions on the gauge or just some? If so, which ones?
Is there a way I can determine if it is an E1 or E2 gauge?
Which wiring diagram shall I use for the install?

I can provide photos of the gauge & harnesses if needed.

If gauge only has one square 4 prong connector then it will work, if has 2 square connectors then it's older gauge and would be better to get new one.
Single square gauge would need,
6Y5-83553-N0-00 Gauge power harness
6Y5-83653-20-00 Trim/Oil engine harness

OK - After closer inspection of my gauge, you are correct - it has two square plugs not one. I can not afford to replace this gauge and harnesses and have read that it can be used on 2005 and newer models using an adapter cable.

Do you have this cable available? Will I have full use of all functions of the meter?

If adapter cable is not available can I make modifications by hard wiring? I have the skills to do this if needed.

This is what it would take to use that gauge,
68F-82553-70-00 Trim/Oil harness
6Y5-83553-N0-00 Gauge power harness
6Y5-85335-00-00 Adapter harness

This is what a new gauge which will also have hour meter will cost,
6YR-W0035-E2-00 Multifunction Tach Rig kit(includes wiring harness's)

OK - Thanks. So my old gauge doesn't have the hour meter? I thought it did.
