aftermarket fuel gauge

I have a 91 yamaha 115 with a brand new key switch and an older yamaha digital tach.I need to wire the fuel gauge to the ignition but all I have coming off the key switch is the plug.Can I tap into one of the connectors on my gauge harness for power to the fuel gauge?

Connect ign. terminal of gauge to yellow wire at Yam tach. Connect grd terminal of gauge to any ground, sender terminal connects to pink fuel tank sender wire.
