oil leak

I have a 40HP 3 cylinder 2 stroke Yamaha i have been working on .....i have it running nicely now ,but this morning i noticed oil leaking from the prop.......my question is......is it just a seal on the lower section,and how easy is it to do.

smell it to see if it smells like lower unit lube

Probably unburned 2 stroke oil and carbon from exhaust, but you need to check things to see for sure
