I have a new skeeter fx 20 with a yamaha sho 250. At wot the boat is nearly impossible to steer. There is no torque left or right, just very, very hard to steer. Also it will chim walk before I can even get it up to 5500 rpm. At lower speeds the boat is fine. I was wondering if a prop change or jack plate adjustment will correct this. Any Ideas ?

what helm do you have?
chine walking at or near WOT is a rather normal occurence on a bass boat.
that rig should be good for speeds in upper 70 to low 80 MPH range.
you may do better to call ranger rather than the internet.
even tough I own 2, I hate bass boats.Comment
