yamaha key switch

I have a 91 yamaha 115 with a brand new key switch.Everything is working correctly except for the speaker alarm.Any ideas on how to hook this up?Thanks in advance.

If you short the two leads to the temp sensor you aren't getting an alarm? The single engine key switch doesn't test the alarm horn when you first turn the key on, like the twin engine setup does. If you're using a stock Yamaha harness and everything is plugged in the horn should function with an overheat test.
