2006 and newer 2 strokes

What is the difference between 2006 and newer 2 strokes to the 2005 and older strokes? is this the year they stopped putting the letter for the year???

I am dealing with that 50 hp 2006 and am looking for a good service manual.

2005 was the last model run to use the 4th alpha character as a production model.

after 2006 you need both the model number and the production date code.
