Fuel Pump, Bad Behavior?

Testing the VST fuel pump off a Yamaha 150 VMAX and its acting strange. Id like to know if anybody can tell me if this is normal behavior for this fuel pump.

Basically if I tap on that plastic piece inside of the outlet in the middle between the "+" and "-" posts then it will spray strong for about 10 seconds then tails off to a trickle, indefinitely. I can do this over and over again.

Is this normal or is this thing FUBARed?

my friend i have had experience similar to you and i replaced a thing called fuel pump assy and it was OK its only 242.52 as it would have collected lot of debry in the filter
