    me again simple army man installed new designed poppit valve (mushroom Style) was getting typical overheat at idle speed or low rpms
    anyway took boat out to fish tournament ended up being a short day overheat alarm came back with new poppit not to metion ruined my lower unit but thats a different story got boat back to house pulled lower unit and then checked poppit valve onlt it was not there gone no where to be found so got to looking around removed ecu and then removed the big rectangular plate with the thousand bolts on it where the poppit valve mold is looks like this is the outside of the exhaust ports its not there either see no where else it could go im lost any suggestions or comments thanks

    How much did you have to drink while working on it to put it in?
    Are we talking about all the parts? Valve, spring, and grommet missing?

      the valve everything else was there the grommit and spring were still in place and hadn't had anythang to drink that day maybe that was the problem

        I do not think the valve could go through the grommet & opening unless it fell apart into small pieces, and I have never heard of that before

            as the valve is on the water discharge side and it simply wont fit through the hose its either in the ex cover or sitting on your work bench.
