Again me, and again 2001. Yamaha 2T 50HP.
Today I tried to find out which cylinder is fu*ked up, so I tried the following:
Removed spark plug caps, trimmed wires for about half inch, and returned spark plug caps - boots.
Everything remained the same, won't go over 2500RPM. So it isn't the connection wire / boot.
Next test... tried to pull off cables while the motor was running. Pulled from 1st cylinder, other 2 worked as before, kinda grumpy. Pulled from 2nd cylinder, other 2 were grumpy. Pulled from 3rd cylinder... and yes, other 2 were grumpy.
Ok, next... puled off 2 cables, leaving just 1 cylinder working. 1st worked well, 2nd worked well, 3rd worked well. No matter what cylinder remained, all of them worked fine when just 1 cylinder is working.
By the way, they work ''cleaner'' when only 1 cylinder is working, then any other combination (2 or all 3 cylinders working)
