HP Fuel pump Sceen issues

I have a 2002 Yamaha 225 4stroke outboard. The small screen on the bottom of the High Pressure Fuel Pump seems to be clogging quickly all of a sudden. I have a 10 micron fuel water seperater/filter in place, the fuel tank is clean, and when the screen on the bottom of the HP pump inside the VST is taken out - it looks clean, except when you look at it in good light and magnified, then you can see what I would describe as a white film or haze to it. Soaking it down and spraying it thoroughly with carb cleaner and putting it back together gets the engine running like new again - but I have had to repeat this process 3 times in the last 5 months. What is this white haze I see, and do I need to replace this screen instead of cleaning it??

either the fuel is contaminated or the E fuels are eating someting,tank,draw tube or other substance.
its common with the marine technician stimulous fuels.
Ethanol is a very good,very corrosive organic solvent.
its also incredibly hydroscopic.
totally UNFIT for marine use.
it eats AL,most plastics and most rubber products.
its also why it CANNOT be piped and MUST be trucked,govt regulations wont allow piping due to the corrosive effects.
eventually that same film is going to clog the injector filters as well.

That would be the Oil Company's, best fix is to use non-ethonal gas, which make Oil Company even more money.

we also see that gray powdery film when fuels are intermixed .sometimes simply switching fuel filling stations can trigger it.
