plug question

i have a c85 1992 outboard, while running if i disconnect the top plug wire it kills, but if i do the same on plug 2and 3 it will keep running. i do it each plug one at a time. is this normal

No it is not normal.
Best to use a spark tester to make sure which plugs are getting spark and how strong the spark is.

If there is good compression on all cylinders and spark on all plugs then look for fuel problems

Through process of elimination, I would have to say its #2 or #3 or both thats bad. #1 is keeping you going. When you remove it, the motor dies. JMHO
