I'm considering replacing a 1991 Yamaha 200, with a blown powerhead, with new 175 2 stroke engine. My concern would be the comparison of power, speed,thrust, etc.. I'm placing the engine on a Mastercraft Barefoot 200.

Not sure how much speed would loose but would be about 12 percent less horsepower.

Less HP means it probably will not turn the same size prop as the 200 to the proper RPM.

Might check to see what the 175 can do on a boat similar to yours on this
