tack not working

P90TLR
tack comes on with key full face then 00 stuck at 64 H. scan shows 86 H.
trim gauge works volts ok .
bad tack? or could it be something else all wires look good and hooked up

Is this a four stroke engine? if so then model would be F90TLR instead of P90TLR. Does it have Yamaha Multifunction digital gauge? if so check that green wire is connected to tach.

A loose or slightly corroded wire or fuse can cause electrical items to turn on and off....the damp marine environment and vibration can cause this....good to inspect, clean, grease, tighten all connections.
