trim gauge

good evening, I have a 150hp (2008) yamaha. I had boat for two years. The trim gauge display has stopped showing on the tach. Don't know if this has anything to do with it, but was cleaning the boat in driveway and used the trim botton on the motor(first time I used it) and shortly after, the display stopped showing on the tach. thanks for any help.

no display or a solid bar or a single bar?
if all are showing or just 1 then inspect the trim sender cam and the sender arm for motion.
