Hi my 1992 6HP engaged a pier and needs replacement. I bought the outboard new in the Bahamas have all the info but not sure where to get used or new parts. My first post here

For new parts, contact the sponsor of this forum, boats.net - nice folks and great prices.
For used parts, I would check ebay first - I see a lot of used motors and individual cowlings up for auction there - just do a search on "Yamaha outboard".
Also, you might go to "Google" and do a search on used Yamaha parts - there are a lot of sellers of used outboard parts - I have not dealt with any of them (yet) and can't recommend any particular one.

You can use model number 6MSHQ to look up your parts on the online parts catalog but the paint color and decals may not match a motor that was bought in Bahama.
