I have twin engines, the port engine uses very little oil, in the last two weeks the starboard engine has been guzzling oil suddenly. It was suggested to me that I would be safer mixing the oil and fuel, which I did. I prevented the float switches in the oil tank on the engine from setting off the alarms by using fuel like to keep the floats high. The starboard engine with the oil issues has decided to shut down the fuel pump. I traced the problem back to a relay on the opposite side of the engine. There is power going into the relay but not coming out. I tried switching the relay from the other engine, it still have the same issue. When I bypassed the relay the fuel pump turns on and runs great. Somebody suggested that there is an oil pressure sensor which may be shutting down the fuel pump. Does anybody know if this is true and how can I bypass it if I want to mix fuel and oil.

no oil switchs that shut off the main relay.
did you check that the link rod is still attached to the pump?
best to fix it not a jury rig pre-mix.
we find way more damaged engines due to incorrect pre-mixing.
especially with large tanks.
the relay your disscussing is the main relay.
its turned on by key on yellow 12V and the ECU ground,black wire.
its fed via the 30 amp fuse and then feeds the pump and injector harness.
did you test the voltage on the red pump lead to engine ground at key on/engine off? -

I have very limited skills, but I'm willing to try with a little direction and I sure appreciate the direction. I'm attaching a photo of the relay. I was able to get it running, by jumping the relay. Today I realized that the problem is the black ground wire which is harnessed together with the yellow wire entering the relay. There is no ground going into the relay from this wire and there is a ground my starboard engine. Do you have any idea where I might chase the problem ground wire? The black and yellow wire go into to the wiring harness on the starboard engine and disappear from my site. Some genius may know exactly where I should look so that I could repair the ground properly. Once again I want to thank you very much for your help, and patience.Comment

the red is feed fused voltage in.
the red/yellow is voltage out to the fuel pump/rail harness.
yellow is key on 12V and black is ground.
you may end up untaping the harness to find where its lost.
I dont have the service manual in front of me but if you get one there is a nice color coded diagram.Comment

It took me a few days, but i found corrosion in the ground wire behind the connector to the relay. It takes me hours but thanks to you I was on the right track.
