Yamaha rectifier

I have a Yamaha 80 hp, 2001 mod. data F80AET, 67G L Serial 306943
The rectifier , 67F-81960-00, burned. Should I purchase the same part number or is it superceeded by 67F-81960-12? If so, is the - 12 version more robust than the previous?
