2005 90hp four stroke, lower assembly

Hey guys, I have a 2005 90 hp four stroke with a twisted center shaft. I have been told I need to replace the full lower assembly, and have found the full assembly but it is from a 2004 90 four stroke. Will this lower assembly be compatible with my 2005?

If you use the boats.net parts schematics, clicking on the part number gives you a cross reference chart. That being said, the part numbers are different for complete lower unit assemblies. The cutoff was 2004. Don't know what the differences are, more than likely just a couple of updated parts.

Thank you for your help! I looked at the schematics, and like you said, the numbers for the complete assemblies are different, but after comparing, all internal parts appear to be the same. I hope this 2004 do fit my 2005.

I gotta ask, WTF is a center shaft?
doesnt show up on my manual nor my parts list.
