guys,
i have a 1988 yamaha 25hp two stroke.
yesterday i installed a new fuel pump diaphragm and gaskets. when taking the original one off, the gasket was stuck onto the mating part only in a few spots. i could tell there was no type of sealer used.
i installed the new gaskets and diaphragm i installed it dry, and when i primed the ball and started the engine it was leaking gasoline ever so slightly.
should i have used sealer on the gasket ? will it "seal itself" in time ?
thanks much
