  • loosing fuel prime while engine is turned off

I have twin 2000 150 fuel injected engines which recently had their VST filters changed. This past weekend went out and drift fished with engines off. After an hour or so I stared the engines and the port side had no gas the primer bulb was soft so I had my mate pump it until it was hard and then powered up and and kept dieing unless we kept squeezing the bulb. Then once I got up to 3500 RPM's or more there was no need to prime any more and ran fine.
    What is causing this?

Don't know what model engines you have but could be problem with fuel pump, check fuel hoses, filters and clamps.

Check diaphrams in low pressure fuel pumps.

Pumping the ball with a bad low pressure pump will dump XS fuel in the crankcase causing it to run rough
Did you see a gas Sheen on the water?
