yamaha 70hp

hi all , i have a old yamaha70hp (1984) i think, i have draind gearbox oil and replaced it with quicksilver high preformance gearbox oil , is this oil ok to use on a old engine.

Yes, Quicksilver gear lube is fine. Now is a good time to rebuild the water pump and check the seals on the LU. Welcome to the forum- lots of good guys dispensing useful information here. Happy boating.

yes quicksilver gear oil is fine, i perfer Yamaha gear oil, but for the application you are doing great, stick to a manufacture oil. welcome to the forum.
