  • floating prop wrench

    Hello ,
I am searching a floating prop wrench - which is required to carry on board during the Round Ireland Challenge 2013 .
    My Yamaha 90hp 2 stroke has a 22mm nut but I can find only 11/16 which is appr 21mm or 15/16 which is 24mm . Nothing about 7/8 or 22mm ...
    Any advise ??
    Thanks Jürgen

Thanks - but 15/16" equals to 24mm and is too big ..
      7/8" could be the one I need .. 22mm

I am quite sure there are machine shops locally.
not hard to make a castlelllated nut in your choice of thread and hex size.

Does it have to float? I never tried one but have heard that they are too flexible to exert more than just a little torque.

Yes - according the organizer of the Round Ireland Challenge it must float ..
Think I have to go with the idea with the machine shop to manufacture an insert .
If it then does not float anymore I will attach a cork or similar ..
              Cheers
