I have a Yamaha Vmax ox66 200hp VX200TLRB that is not pumping water. I have changed out the impeller and still no water from the tell tale. I have cleaned out the port where the water is suppose to come out and still getting nothing. No overheat alarm running it on the muffs, but scared to run it more than a few seconds. Can someone give me some idea of what else to check? Will the thermostat keep it from pumping water?

check the inlet and outlet tubes to the regulator.
also run it on the onboard hose flusher. -
Checked the inlet and outlet tubes, hooked it to the freshwater flusher and water comes out the outlet tube like it should. Took the lower unit apart to make sure the impeller had not melted. Put it back on the muffs and still does no water. Any other ideas? Will the thermostat keep it from pumping water?Comment

thermostat has no affect on telltale water.
I dont recall saying run it on the muffs.Comment

Backed it in the lake today and fired it up. Starting pumping water like a champ. Guess I know not to trust the muffs anymore.
