how long will outboard last with low compression?

got a 1995 yammy 70hp 2 stroke, with 300 hrs on it. yesterday test 145 PSi for the top 2 cyclinder and 135 for bottom cyclinder. engine still runs fine but just not sure how many hours left before rebuild?

I doubt you have a problem...maybe run a tank of gas with decarb dosage of Ringfree through the motor then re-check readings...The rule of thumb on compression readings is within 10% difference between cylinders...

not enough of a difference to make a difference, and that is good compression as well,, it will last till it breaks, no really if we could determine the life of an enigne we wouldnt be on this forum, we would be being paid for a much bigger calling,, those engine are good for several thousand hours if maintained properly..

do a good decarb,retest.
a look at the cyl walls with a bore scope will tell you.
