FUEL BULB Problem

Having problem with boat . Boat will not hold prime? The boat sat for 6 months , Other than cleaning carbs, is there anything else to do? I want to replace fuel line with bulb w/ genuine Yamaha part. Well I want to replace ever fuel line for tank to outboard!!!

Outboard 2004 TXRC 150hp.

Replace the fuel ball first - probably about $15. They do go bad. In fact I carry a spare one with me.

yamaha bulbs usually last 6 yrs or better, longer if out of the sun.
once the carbs are primed you can toss the bulb in the creek.
sitting 6 months most likly means your going to go through the carbs and fuel pumps.

Id be checing for a air leak, I just spent 3hrs today trying to find out why one of the new bulbs wouldnt hold a prime, ended up being a broken brass thread that went into the external fuel/water filter.
