The boat that i drive, Hydrolift T20, is sensitive to big props, a 26-27" prop is optimal for this hull, however, this doesnt give me the speed i am searching for.
Just what do you mean by is sensitive to big props?
If you put on a prop that will get to the upper listed RPM at WOT with the load you are running, then that is what you get in speed
the boat is so light (400kg) and because of the mounting height of the engine, the boat will propride/paddle sideways, at higher speeds (70 knots+)
so i rather donīt use too big props.
Cleavers are the worst for this hull, it looses all stability.
is there any company that sells other gears for this gearcase?
Not that I would want to run that fast on the water, heard of some boats that went air born and came apart when hitting water again when wind hit them wrong.
But contact some prop makers/ designers and maybe the hull manufacturer to see what they say
iīve been in contact with the hull manufacturer, and he says not to go over 27-28 pitch,
these boats usually runs with Merc XS/XR2, which allows them to rev higher.
since I'm a "yamaha-guy" i want to get maximum speed out of this setup.
thats why i want to increase my rev limit.
the slip is already at 4%, so its just some rpmīs missing..
