twin F150's, three year old, approx 300 hours, still under warranty. 10 micron racors on each engine. Had an issue in mid summer with port motor, filters clean, even on on front of engine. Injectors were clogged up. No assistance from warranty even though the fuel in tank is good and clean, we cut open racor and it was clean, and engine front filter clean. Fuel and only one motor was effected by it. A couple of months later, same facts as above, and the vst tank has rust and crud in it and needle seat if corroded shut. Yamaha says that there is no warranty as no part is deffective. My question- fuel tank has clean fuel, yes E-10, but i use starton and Yamaha additive. Every three months I have removed fuel sending unit and with portabale fuel pump, removed 5 to 6 gallons from bottom of tank. If fuel was the issue, seems like both engines would have issues fairly close together. It is as though something from the vst tank to injectors is desolving causing issues. What do ya'll think. More importantly, I don't know what to do to prevent this. I feel I have done all that can be done The boat is cranked and run every month at a minimum. $1,500 later, I am not making progress. If I have to do this every 3 years, something is wrong. If the filters were dirty and clogged, I would say shame on me.

if you had crud and corrosion its not a manufacturing defect.
most likly its due to the US govt marine technician stimulous program.
the racor cannot and will not trap the water held in suspension by the ethanol.
that water is now part of the fuel solution.
however it tends to fall out of solution in the VST.
if you see much white corrosion in the VST you may wish to dissasemble and check the lift pumps as well.
