I have a 2010 model 15MSH 2 stroke that I would like to convert from tiller to remote control steering and engine controls. I am not clear on whether I can retain my original tilt tube (clamp bracket bolt) or if I have to buy a different one.
The existing factory tube is 9 1/2" long, 5/8" ID, 7/8" OD, 14 threads per inch. There is only about 1/4" of the tube protruding from each end past the self locking nuts and it doesn't look like that will be enough for the steering cable housing to attach to.
Can any one tell me the part number and correct length of tube that has to be used with remote steering?
Robert
