Trying to find/buy correct tiller handle - control conversionsion

Hey guys, new to the site. want to go ahead and say thanks for all the help to come

before i start, i would like to note, that i have indeed searched this topic
anyways, i just bought a 2001 yamaha 40 hp four stroke, model F40TLRZ,
serial # 67 C L 503728
its electric start, and does have trim/tilt
it has no controls on it now, and i want to put a tiller handle on it. i have called around, and cant get a straight answer as to what i need. from what i have gathered, i need a tiller handle AND a mounting/bracket kit to make this work

if anyone can please give me any information on this, i would greatly appreciate it.

i would like to know if i need a seperate mounting kit and a tiller, or just a tiller handle
also, can anyone give me the part numbers i need for this? i know that there are a couple differnt kits for this, but i dont know which one i need.

The new 6X4 Tiller handle kits(2005 and newer models) probably wont work on your motor, 2001 F40 called for a 62Y-W0086-K1-4D Tiller Handle kit(2004 and older) but it is no longer available.

so if the new one wont fit, and the old one isnt available, what are my other options.
after calling around some more today, i narrowed my search to either two part numbers:
6x4-42103-52-00
or
67C-w0084-00-4D


im still not sure if either of these are correct, but its all i can find.
please let me know if you have any info on this

i came up with a parts list, but they are all outdated

67C-w0084-00-4D will work, 6x4 is the newer handle and wont work

in 01 the F40 was made by mercury for yamaha.
you may check with a mercury dealer for any compatible kits.
if you look the starter is prestolite and the ign module says motorola.
