winterizing 70 hp's out of water

I would like to winterize my motors (I have twins)out of the water. Can I run the engine out of the water using the flushing device or do I need to get muffs for the inlets on the lower unit.

Will need to get flushing attachments to run engine.

You'll need the muffs to run motor out of the water...that flushing devise on the motor is just for flushing with motor turned off.
