Yamaha four stroke 225hp 2001

I currently have 1300hrs on my 225hp four stroke. i never had issues until the last time i took my boat out. It stalls when i rev it up on the trailer now and when i was running in at 4200 the boat slowed a bit and then picked back up, it wasn’t a rough feel at all it just slower for a sec and sped back up. The motor also runs rough when it’s just in gear also. I change all the filter religiously and use a racor 10 micron fuel filter. i have always used ring free every fill up and when i leave the boat i use fuel stabilizer in the tank.

I would appreciate any feed back as the boats out of the country and hard to find a Yamaha certified tech to look over the motor. I was thinking on changing the high/low fuel pump and VST but I’m just guessing!

Just the vst filter? I guess I will try that what else could it be so I can check if its not that. Thank you for your response

while cleaning the VST I would also pull the injectors and at least flush the injector screens.
