I have a 2000 year model Yamaha 3 cylinder 2 stroke 25hp. I'm rebuilding the carbs and have a puzzle. I'm replacing the floats on the carbs. I put the new floats in with the new float pin's that came in the kit. With the Carburetor laying topside down and the hinge of the float away from me, there is a small screw with lock washer that goes in at the end of the float pin on the right side, obviously to keep the pin in place. Do I let the pin extend that way and trap the end of the pin under the screw, or do I let the pin stick out of the opposite side and screw the screw down flush? That is the one detail I failed to note when taking it apart. Thanks.
