  • Freshwater flushout leaking

The freshwater flushout on my 2002 85 hp 4 stroke leakes when motor is runnung. I have replaced the washer several times. It does not leak when a water hose is attached. There seems to be a lot of pressure at the hose connection when you are running at speed and the water leaking out is warm. There is a chalky white film at the bottom of the shaft that the motor rotates on to turn. I have never noticed this before. Could a gasket have failed in the motor causing the back pressure on the flushout and overheating the motor causing the white film.

May be problem with fitting that flush hose connects to to prevent it from sealing properly. Might check pressure control valve on engine to see if stuck shut.
