HPDI reads 6000 hours but has 600 hours on other Engine

Hello,

I hooked up my laptop to engine with Yamaha Diagnostics and it shows my engine with 6553 hours on Starboard and 600 hours on Portside. The engine has around 600 hours, but i do not understand why it shows 6k hours.

Can anyone please share their comments? Is the computer bad?

I have seen it on some of the earlier models, nothing to worry about.

I've seen that before. Yamaha say's it's a problem in the ECM, But it's nothing to worry about. It won't cause any other problems, you just can't get hours off that motor.
