I have a 1989 Yamaha 50ESF-JD. Coming out of the CDI unit is a yellow wire with a red maybe orange stripe that is not connected to anything. Can anyone please tell me what this is supposed to plug into? Thanks

Carb or Reed Cage
Thank you for your reply. My last question is the bottom cylinder is not getting any fuel into the cylinder. The plug looks brand new while the middle and upper cylinder plugs are wet. The bottom unit went out and I have just rebuilt the motor thinking it was just old. How do I tell if the reed cage is bad or it it is the carb?Comment

run a compression test, remove and clean carbs, check reeds when have carbs off.Comment
