2 stroke oil filter

I just cleaned the oil filter on the remote oil tank and decided it looks remarkably like a small engine fuel filter. Has anybody used a fuel filter as an inline oil filter for a 2 stroke? Will the pump be able to push the oil thru 20' of line to the tank on the my 1995 150 TXTR?

Never tried just always used the oil filter.

Where did you find the remote oil filter? Do you have a picture? I'd like to the replace the one on my outboard but can't locate it. It looks like someone moved the oil tank from the original place to make room for a second battery and perko switch. Picture(s) would be helpful thanks.
