Hello, I have a Yamaha 1999 115 hp v4 outboard. The bottom cylinder is not working. The problem started as what I thought to be a fuel issue as in starving for gas on acceleration, then would suddenly catch. Last time out it would not even open up and wanted to stall.
Tests done so far by my mechanic are: 130 psi on all four cylinders, Fuel pump not leaking, (tried a new one), the carb is very clean and getting fuel, tried switching coils without any sucess. Possible bottom crank seal leak? Any thoughts?
